Why Reporting is Crucial

Failure to report changes in income, assets, or living situation can lead to suspension of benefits or an overpayment debt. This guide clarifies what, when, and how to report.

Key Changes to Report

  1. Income: Any new job, increase in hours, or lump-sum payments.
  2. Assets: Receiving an inheritance, selling a property, or opening a new account.
  3. Living Situation: Moving, a new roommate, or changes in family status.

It’s recommended to report changes immediately to your caseworker, ideally within 10 days of the change occurring.
