Current Asset Limits
The current maximum asset limits are:
- Single Person: $40,000 (current rate)
- Couple: $50,000 (current rate)
Key Exempt Assets
Many assets do not count against your limit, including:
- The home you own and live in.
- The cash surrender value of life insurance policies.
- Registered Disability Savings Plans (RDSPs) are fully exempt.
